The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009)

I am watching it now. Which means, that's one of those movies I wanted to own, wanted to come back to it. When I saw the trailer, I wanted to see the movie, when I saw the movie I thought WTF. Hilarious, absurd beyond any limits, but then I watched extras: the orgin and facts about the plot. And then I realized I had ignored the small warning at the beginnig of the movie:"More of this is true than you would belive". The best cast you can put to star: Ewan McGregor, George Clooney, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Spacey

French Exit (2020)

Absolutely awesome! Wise, funny, dark, bitter. You don't even have to ask existential question, they will take you to experience the answer. I fell in love with Michelle Pfeiffer very long time ago and clearly I am still not over her yet. It's not traditional narration, but that makes the movie even better.

'Labour Day'

The reason I have this blog is to remember and recommend movies I've seen. Sometimes you watch something amazing, but then you loose it, forget the title or can't remember what was so good about the movie. One of those hidden gems I don't want to forget is "Labour Day". Description says: Thriller, Romance, Drama. Sounds like one can not be another, but I would even add 'suspense'. Absolutely beautiful, sad, romantic, twisted...words, words, words. Just watch it. One and only Kate Winslet with her  ability TO BE her character, not just act. Every time she made me bow to her performance.
